TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, November 16. Uzbekistan
and Saudi Arabia signed a protocol on the completion of bilateral
negotiations on getting into World Commerce Group (WTO), Pattern studies.
Thus, Saudi Arabia has turn out to be the second state to have signed
the ultimate settlement on Uzbekistan’s accession to the WTO, following
Georgia.
The protocol was signed on the WTO Normal Headquarters in
Geneva by Aziz Urunov, Particular Consultant of the President of
Uzbekistan on WTO Points, and the representatives of WTO.
Furthermore, the Uzbek delegation, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister
of Uzbekistan, Chairman of the interdepartmental fee on work
with WTO Jamshid Khodzhayev, will participate within the seventh assembly of
the working group on Uzbekistan’s membership within the World Commerce
Group.
In the meantime, a protocol was signed on the completion of bilateral
negotiations on entry to the market of products and companies between
Georgia and Uzbekistan inside the framework of accession to the WTO
in April of 2023.
Uzbekistan utilized for membership within the World Commerce
Group proper after its institution in 1994. After the third
assembly of the working group in 2005, the method was suspended for
15 years, and solely in 2020 the 4th assembly was held.
