Tributes have been paid to a “shiny and enthusiastic” British police officer who was discovered useless whereas on vacation in Corfu.
PC Hannah Byrne, a serving officer with Surrey Police, is believed to have been killed in an “unintentional fall” in Kavos final week.
The 22-year-old’s household have paid tribute to her, describing her as “extraordinarily sort, humorous, and caring”.
Her household stated: “Our beloved Hannah was stunning in and out. She was extraordinarily sort, humorous, caring and had an actual zest for all times.
She will likely be drastically missed by all who liked her.”
Chief Superintendent Chris Colley, Divisional Commander for East Surrey, stated: “Hannah’s loss of life has been a shock for everybody who knew her. She was a shiny, enthusiastic and revered officer simply at the beginning of her profession in policing and she or he will likely be sadly missed. As a Drive, we are actually doing all the things we are able to to help her household and her colleagues at this extraordinarily tough time.”
An investigation into the circumstances of her loss of life is being led by authorities in Greece.
