The incident, TCN believes occurred at round 10:15 pm, on Tuesday evening, when the 150MVA energy transformer at Molai Substation tripped similtaneously the 330kV transmission line supplying bulk energy to Maiduguri from Damaturu Transmission Substation.
After the road tripping, TCN stated efforts have been made by its engineers to shut the Mulai – Damaturu line to allow bulk transmission of electrical energy, which failed repeatedly.
