PSA Marine unit Ventus Marine has contracted 4 crew switch vessels (CTVs) at Singapore-based shipbuilder Strategic Marine for work within the European and Asian offshore wind sectors.
The 27-m-long CTVs, designed by BMT, are scheduled for supply by the tip of 2024 onwards, with two managed by PSA Marine’s companion Njord Offshore in Europe whereas the opposite two might be operated by Njord Marine in Taiwan.
BMT stated the Taiwanese models have been designed to deal with onerous circumstances within the area with mooring capabilities in storm circumstances, whereas the duo set to function in Europe will embody IPS propulsion and adjust to the brand new MCA Work Boat Code Version 3.
For Strategic Marine, the deal marks Njord Offshore’s return, which has prior to now ordered CTVs for its house owners, that served as pioneer vessels from the Southeast Asia area.
PSA Marine, a subsidiary of Singapore’s PSA Worldwide, partnered with UK-based Njord Offshore in 2015 to offer a fleet of recent 21-m and 26-m CTVs.
