A former chairman of the Labour Social gathering in Lagos State, Kayode Salako, who resigned because the celebration’s chairman within the state on Tuesday, has mentioned that he gave up the highest job to pursue his ambition to contest the seat of the Oshodi-Isolo Constituency 1 within the Home of Representatives.
Salako disclosed this on Wednesday hours after he handed over the celebration’s management in Lagos to a former deputy ladies chief within the state, Dayo Ekong, based on a Channels Tv report.
He mentioned, “We held our authorized stakeholders’ assembly in Lagos yesterday (Tuesday). I willingly handed over the operating of the affairs of the celebration to Mrs. Dayo Ekong as a result of I needed to contest an election.
“I’m the candidate of the celebration for the Home of Representatives seat in Oshodi-Isolo Constituency 1. The election is about 40 days’ time and I want to pay attention to face the challenges.”
