The World Athletics Indoor Championships, scheduled to be held in Nanjing from March 17-19 in 2023, have been postponed as a result of ongoing pandemic circumstances in China, governing physique World Athletics says.
Nanjing was initially chosen to host the 2020 World Athletics Indoor Championships, which have been first postponed till March 2021, after which to March 2023, because the pandemic continued.
“This choice was taken with the settlement of each the Nanjing organising committee and the Chinese language Athletics Affiliation (CAA), as a result of ongoing pandemic circumstances,” a press release by World Athletics mentioned.
The following version of the World Athletics Indoor Championships will now be held in Glasgow on March 1-3 in 2024.
